Pantry Avalanche

Dex buys a new gadget every week. Most of them end up in The Drawer. This week he announced he had "organized" the pantry. Kit opened the door and got buried in chip bags, ramen and one tea bag that, by her estimate, dates to 2023.

The problem with a deep, narrow pantry is that everything ends up in one leaning pile. Dex's latest impulse buy breaks the pile into small, see-through drawers you can pull out.

What the Vtopmart 4 Pack Small Clear Stackable Storage Drawers actually does

It's a set of four small clear boxes, each with a pull-out drawer:

• Sort. Give each drawer one job: tea bags, spice and sauce packets, snack packs, ramen.
• Stack. The outer boxes stack on top of each other or sit side by side. Each one is 7.5 inches deep, 6 inches wide and 4.4 inches tall, so they fit narrow shelves and under-sink spots.
• Pull. Each drawer slides out by its built-in handle, and the included silicone pads keep the box from moving while you pull.

They're made of BPA-free, shatter-resistant clear plastic (hand wash only, not dishwasher safe), and the 4-pack costs under $25. Check Amazon for the current price, and measure your shelf before you buy.

Snag it or skip it?

Kit's ruling: the drawers stay. Dex's cabinet is still under investigation.
